2011 HITCON Awards Recipients
We are excited that the 2012 TORCH Annual Conference & Tradeshow will be held at the BRAND NEW Omni Dallas Hotel, April 11th – 13th! As part of our Annual Conference we will be holding the 4th Annual TORCH Foundation Silent Auction and welcome you to participate in this exciting event. From the proceeds we received from last year's Silent Auction, we were able to award 18 education scholarships and stipends to dedicated rural health/MHA university students and TORCH Member hospital staff through the TORCH Foundation Scholarship Fund.
We hope to continue the growth of this important resource and increase the number of scholarship opportunities in 2012-13. We are accepting donations for this year’s Silent Auction, which will take place on April 12th, in the exhibit hall, during the TORCH Annual Conference.
Donations are a great way you can show your support and receive recognition at the same time. We welcome everything from electronics to pictures to home goods to gift certificates. To make a donation, please see the form below for detailed information and either fax the completed form to (512) 873-0046 or email it directly to Dawn Haberkorn at dawn@torchnet.org.
Items sent to the TORCH office must be received no later than April 2nd. Other items mailed or delivered to the Omni Hotel must be received no later than the morning of April 11th. Then, we encourage you to attend the TORCH Annual Conference and our Silent Auction to bid on our generously donated items!

2011/12 TORCH Foundation Stipend & Scholarship Opportunities � Application Deadline: March 16th
We are now accepting applications for 2011/12 TORCH Foundation Stipends and Scholarships! These opportunities are available for promising TORCH Member hospital employees and university students in healthcare-related undergraduate and graduate programs in Texas, aspiring to enhance their knowledge and make a difference in Texas rural healthcare. We are offering the following opportunities:
- Continuing Education Stipend
- Rural Healthcare Internship Stipend
- Texas MHA Scholarship
Financial support for the TORCH Foundation Scholarship Fund is generated from events like the TORCH Foundation Silent Auction, generous donations and other sponsorship opportunities. We appreciate the support received thus far and hope to continue to grow this worthy Fund and increase the number and types of opportunities available in the future! The application deadline for all scholarship/stipend opportunities is Friday, March 16, 2012. Award recipients will be notified and formally recognized at the 2012 TORCH Annual Conference & Tradeshow at the new Omni Dallas Hotel, April 11-13, 2012.
