About the TORCH Policy Bank

We are pleased to announce a new value-added service for hospitals provided by the Texas Organization of Rural & Community Hospitals and Davis & Wilkerson. Kevin Reed and the staff at D&W have been working hard to update and revise a set of forms and policy templates that TORCH-member hospitals can access at any time through our new "Policy Bank.".

This new online resource can improve the quality of your hospital policies by giving you access to the most up-to-date versions at the click of the mouse. It also simplifies the process of revising and maintaining your policies by giving you ready-access to the full catalog of materials that are available, along with the definitions and instructions necessary to ensure that you properly customize each policy to the unique needs of your own facility.

There is an annual subscription of only $950 to gain full access to the Policy Bank for a period of one year or if you so choose, you may access individual policies for a fee of $250 each. Once TORCH has processed you payment, we issue a username and password that is specific for your facility. You will then be able to download, edit, copy, save or print any policy that you have been granted access to.

This program will save rural hospitals time and money and allow them to always be ensured that they meet the latest federal and state regulatory standards. As policies are updated by D&W, they will be highlighted in the Policy Bank and that will in turn help our member hospitals stay in compliance and prevent them from having to review individual policies on a purely ad-hoc basis.

We hope that you will all avail yourselves of this new opportunity. If you are interested, simply fill out the order form and send it in with your check or credit card information. We are pleased to be able to provide this service that was born out of recommendations by both our members and the TORCH Board of Directors. This is a very affordable way to keep your hospital policies in great shape.

For more information, please contact the TORCH office at (512) 873-0045 and ask to speak to David Pearson or Gina Richardson.
