The Texas Hospital Home Health Association focuses on the special issues, needs and concerns affecting a hospital home health program's ability to provide home health care services in their community. The association serves hospital-based home health programs of all sizes in both rural and urban settings.

Benefits of Participation
The purpose of the Texas Hospital Home Health Association is to address the special issues, needs, and concerns affecting a hospital home health program's ability to provide home health care services in their community through:

Education

  • Conferences and seminars offering information on a wide range of topics
  • Technical assistance provided by specialized consultants
  • Professional growth and development in clinical and operational areas
  • Approved by the Texas Nurses Association as a provider of continuing nurse education seminars

Information

  • Newsletter providing useful timely information specific to hospital home health programs
  • Public education and awareness
  • Sharing information and expertise with others in the industry

Representation

  • Actively working to insure enactment of sound legislation and governmental regulations which are in the best interest of hospital home health programs
  • Oppose any service, legislation, or regulation that may have a tendency to unjustly affect hospital home health programs
  • Monitoring and reporting legislative and regulatory issues relating to hospital home health programs

Resource Center

  • Development of operational and administrative resources
  • Centralized source to provide answers to questions on a variety of topics

  • Sharing information and experience
  • Networking with peers and others having expertise related to hospital home health programs

Regular (Hospital) $495
General acute care licensed hospitals in Texas

Corporate $250
Commercial entities (vendors and suppliers) associated or doing business with hospitals.

Affiliate $100
Not-for-profit organizations interested in rural and community home health care delivery (governmental organizations, state and local associations).

The Texas Department of Human Services (DHS) regulates home health agencies in the State of Texas. Their website is designed to give providers access to information they need to comply with state and federal laws and regulations.

TMF Health Quality Institute is the Medicare approved Quality Improvement Organization (QIO) for the State of Texas. Their website gives information on quality improvement and data reporting efforts established by CMS.
